Eunephthya ericius [Eunephthya ericius]
Description
Eunephthya ericius often appears as a tufted, brush-like soft coral with many tiny polyps giving it a textured, hairlike look. Divers may see it swaying gently in the current, with the colony’s fine structure becoming more apparent as you approach. Because it relies on capturing food from the water, it’s most impressive when there’s a steady flow of water overhead.
