Smooth Nylon Shrimp [Heterocarpus laevigatus]
Description
Often seen as a slender, translucent shrimp that blends into the dim, sandy or muddy seafloor. Divers may spot it hovering just above the bottom or slowly picking its way through detritus, using its long antennae to probe the surroundings.
