Armed Nylon Shrimp [Heterocarpus ensifer]
Description
With its distinctive, spear-like rostrum, this species can look like a tiny armored figure cruising close to the seafloor. Recreational divers typically encounter it in deeper habitats where it clings to or hovers over sediment, retreating rapidly when approached.
