Heterocarpus affinis [Heterocarpus affinis]
Description
Often encountered in deeper or cooler offshore zones, this shrimp can appear as a small, translucent swimmer that blends into the dimmer light. With a slow approach, divers may catch it hovering near the bottom or drifting through the water column, then quickly retreating when disturbed.
