Shrimp Retainer [Periclimenes amethysteus]
Description
Divers often spot this small, translucent shrimp tucked into the shelter of a host—most commonly a sea anemone or coral-like structure. Its pale body and delicate, waving antennae make it easy to notice as it stays close to its chosen refuge, retreating quickly when disturbed.
