Bocquetia rosea [Bocquetia rosea]
Description
Bocquetia rosea is a delicate-looking sponge that often shows up as soft, pinkish growths on sheltered rocky areas. Underwater, divers may notice it as a gentle splash of color against darker rock, sometimes forming small patches or low mounds. Because it can be fairly subtle in shape, it’s a great species to search for during careful reef or wall-watching.
