Ribbed chiton [Belknapchiton costatoacus]
Description
Ribbed or costate shell features give this chiton a more sculpted look than some smoother relatives. Divers may spot it by the pronounced ridges running along the plates, especially when the animal is angled so light grazes across the shell.
