Diadema [Diadema]
Description
Divers often spot Diadema as a field of long, needle-like sea urchins clustered on rocky bottoms and reef edges. When they move, their spines create a subtle “brushstroke” effect across the substrate, and they’re frequently seen grazing on algae. In clear water, you may notice their spines catching the light as they hold tight to the rock.
