Zebra Sole [Zebrias zebra]
Description
The Zebra Sole, also known as Zebrias zebra, is a species of fish in the Soleidae family. They inhabit sandy and muddy bottoms in the Indo-West Pacific region, from the Persian Gulf to Indonesia, towards northern Australia. It is characterized by its elongated body and zebra-like stripes, hence the common name. They are predominantly nocturnal, hiding in the sand during the day and hunting for small invertebrates at night.
