Wounded Split-tooth Dorid [Hypselodoris carnea]
Description
This species gets its common name from the irregular, “wounded” patterning that can appear on its mantle. Divers may spot it slowly moving along the seafloor, especially in areas with abundant sponge growth. Up close, the texture and edge details are striking, making it a rewarding find for macro-focused dives.
