Description
Wilson's snipe is a small, stocky shorebird. This species inhabits marshes, bogs and wet meadows in Canada, northern USA, and the Pacific coast of North America. It is a migratory bird, wintering in southern North America, Central America and northern South America. It has a dark, stocky body with a long beak and short legs. It feeds on invertebrates, small fish, and plant material.
