White Tellin [Tellina fabula]
Description
The White Tellin is a bivalve mollusk that can grow up to 5 cm in length. It is characterized by its oval shape and sharply pointed beaks. The shell is usually white or light pink with a glossy surface. This species dwells in sandy seabeds from the lower shore to depths of around 100 meters, and is primarily found in the Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
