Description
The White Chiton, or Callochiton septemvalvis, is a marine species found predominantly in the lower intertidal and subtidal zones along rocky shorelines. It has a broad oval shape, with a shell composed of 8 articulated valves surrounded by a girdle. The color varies from white to cream, and sometimes light brown. Its behavior is predominantly nocturnal, and it feeds on microalgae present on rocks.
