Veiled Octopus [Octopus veligero]
Description
The Veiled Octopus is known for its distinctive, flowing skin texture and a “veiled” look that can make it seem almost draped over the seafloor. Divers may notice it perched low and still, then suddenly changing posture and color as it scans for prey or responds to a diver’s presence.
