Description
Turbinaria mesenterina, commonly known as Vase Coral, is a species of colonial stony coral in the family Dendrophylliidae. It is found in shallow waters in the Indo-Pacific region. It has a distinctive vase or bowl shape, often with a central column. The colonies are usually solitary and the polyps are often extended during the day. It can tolerate a wide range of water conditions and is found in both clear and turbid water.
