Variable Wart Slug [Phyllidia varicosa]
Description
The Variable Wart Slug is famous for its dramatic, high-contrast patterning and bumpy “wart-like” texture along its back. Divers often see it resting on or near sponges, where it feeds and stays relatively still between slow movements. Because its colors can vary, two sightings in different locations can look surprisingly different.
