Turret Velvet Dorid [Jorunna rubescens]
Description
Divers often spot this dorid nudibranch as a velvety, turret-like mound on rocky bottoms and among sponges. Its soft, rounded body and subtle coloration make it easy to overlook at first, but once you’re close you can see the distinctive texture and the way it holds position on the substrate.
