Tubastraea grandidentata [Tubastraea grandidentata]
Description
Tubastraea grandidentata is recognizable by its robust, bumpy colony texture and prominent coral “teeth” (the raised structures on the surface). Divers may see it forming thick mats or mounded patches, sometimes covering parts of the seafloor or settling on man-made structures. Its vivid coloration can make it a striking subject for close-up photography.
