Threespot Cardinalfish [Apogon trimaculatus]
Description
A marine species native to the Indo-Pacific region. Recognizable by its three black spots - one at the base of the tail, and two on the dorsal fin. It is a nocturnal species that shelters in reefs during the day and emerges at night to feed on small crustaceans. Males carry the eggs in their mouth until they hatch.
