Thorn Coral [Stylocoeniella cocosensis]
Description
Cocosensis Thorn Coral forms thorny, upright or encrusting growths that create a distinctive “spiky” silhouette on the reef. Divers may notice how the colony’s projections catch light and cast tiny shadows, making it look almost sculpted. Like other thorn corals, it offers plenty of microhabitats for small invertebrates.
