Stout Lucine [Lucina costata]
Description
The Stout Lucine is a moderately small bivalve mollusk native to the Western Atlantic, from North Carolina to Brazil. It inhabits shallow coastal waters and is commonly found in seagrass beds. It has a thick, strong shell with concentric lines and is usually white, cream, or light yellow in color.
