Description
Astreopora myriophthalma, commonly known as Star Coral, is a species of stony coral in the family Acroporidae. They inhabit shallow reef environments, typically found between depths of 1 to 30 meters. The coral forms in massive or encrusting colonies with tubular corallites that give it its star-like appearance. It exhibits mostly nocturnal behavior and has a wide distribution in the Indo-Pacific region.
