Star Coral [Astreopora gracilis]
Description
Divers often spot Astreopora gracilis as a delicate, starry-looking coral with fine, branching or plate-like growth. Up close, the surface can appear dotted with small corallites, giving it a textured, “star-speckled” look. In clear water, its pale tones and intricate form stand out against darker reef backgrounds.
