Spotted longneck eel [Derichthys serpentinus]
Description
The Spotted longneck eel, scientifically known as Derichthys serpentinus, is a deep-sea eel species. It has a long, snake-like body with a length of approximately 22 inches. Its skin is dark brown with white dots. These eels are usually found at depths between 300 and 800 meters in the Atlantic Ocean.
