Description

The Spiny Anacropora Coral is a species of acroporid coral found in the central Indo-Pacific, Australia, Southeast Asia, Japan, the East China Sea, and the oceanic western Pacific Ocean. This species is found in shallow tropical reefs, and its colonies are composed of short, spiny branches. The species is rated as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List, due to the global decline of coral reefs, increase in sea temperatures causing coral bleaching, and disease.
