Snyder's Grunter [Snyderina yamanokami]
Description
Snyder's Grunter is a species of fish in the family Terapontidae, the grunters. It is endemic to Japan, found in marine, brackish, and freshwater environments. This species is characterized by a deep body, a steeply sloping forehead, a small mouth, and a continuous dorsal fin. It is named after American ichthyologist Henry W. Fowler.
