Slope Hake [Ventrifossa mizolepis]
Description
The Slope Hake is a species of morid cod found in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. It is a bathydemersal fish, found at depths of 400 to 800 meters. It has a slender body, a large mouth and eyes, and a long lateral line. It is notable for its mottled skin coloration.
