Scorpion Spider Conch [Lambis scorpius]

Scorpion Spider Conch
Description

Divers often spot this conch tucked into sandy or rubble bottoms, where its long, spiny-looking shell edges stand out like a miniature sea weapon. Look closely for the dramatic, scorpion-like projections along the shell that give it its common name. When it’s undisturbed, it can blend surprisingly well with the seafloor until you notice the distinctive shape.
