Saithe [Pollachius virens]
Description
Also known as coalfish in the UK, it is a species of marine fish in the Pollachius genus. It is a large fish, growing up to 120 cm in length, with a dark coloration and a distinctive white lateral line. It is found in the northern Atlantic Ocean and the Barents Sea. It is a predator, feeding on smaller fish and squid.
