Reef Octopus [Octopus oculifer]
Description
Reef octopuses are masters of camouflage, often appearing as a mottled, rock-like shape tucked into crevices. Divers may spot them peeking from holes or slowly “walking” along the substrate, then quickly retreating when approached. With good visibility, you can sometimes catch subtle color changes and curious, exploratory behavior.
