Red Ridge Coral [Lithophyllon repanda]
Description
Commonly known as the Red Ridge Coral, Lithophyllon repanda is a species of stony coral in the family Fungiidae. It is a non-reef building coral found in the Indo-Pacific Ocean. It is a free-living species, with a flat, oval shape and a slightly domed upper surface. It is characterized by its distinct ridges that radiate out from the center of the coral.
