Porites cocosensis [Porites cocosensis]
Description
Divers may recognize Porites cocosensis by its robust, mound-like growth and the tight, bumpy pattern of its coral surface. Because it forms substantial habitat, it can attract small reef fish and invertebrates that shelter among the microtopography of the colony.
