Pore Coral [Montipora corbettensis]
Description
Divers often spot this Montipora as a low, encrusting or gently raised coral with a distinctive “pore” look on its surface. Up close, the tiny openings and subtle texture create a peppered pattern that catches light as you move. It’s a great example of how reef-building corals can look both delicate and surprisingly tough.
