Porcelain Coral [Leptoseris incrustans]
Description
Porcelain coral forms low, crust-like patches that can look like delicate, pale tiles on the reef. Divers often notice their smooth, “porcelain” texture and subtle, branching ridges that catch the light as you move overhead. At depth, they’re usually calm and understated—until you get close enough to see the fine surface detail.
