Porcelain Coral [Leptoseris explanata]
Description
This Porcelain Coral forms broad, flattened plates that can resemble a series of stacked, gently textured sheets. Divers often spot it by its smooth, tidy appearance and the subtle contrast between raised ridges and the lighter surface. It’s a great example of how some corals build complex textures without looking “branchy.”
