Description
Poeobius meseres, also known as the Ringed Polychaete, is a species of polychaete worm found in the deep sea. The species is transparent and ring-shaped, with a diameter of about 1 cm. They are found worldwide and are known to occur in large swarms. This species lacks a true gut and it is believed that they absorb nutrients directly through their body wall.
