Pocillopora ligulata [Pocillopora ligulata]
Description
This species forms delicate, finger-like or club-shaped branches that can create an intricate, lacy look on the reef. Divers may notice it as a branching coral that grows in compact patches, often with small spaces between tips where fish and invertebrates can hide. Its overall appearance can be subtle, but up close the fine branch structure is striking.
