Pin-tailed Snipe [Gallinago stenura]
Description
The pin-tailed snipe, also known as the Pintail Snipe, breeds in northern Russia and migrates to spend the non-breeding season in southern Asia from Pakistan to Indonesia. It is a well camouflaged bird, with short legs and a very long straight dark bill. The body is mottled in varying shades of light and dark brown, with a striped head and neck.
