Pelagia flaveola [Pelagia flaveola]
Description
Pelagia flaveola can appear as a pale yellow to golden jellyfish, giving it a warm glow compared with many other pelagic species. Divers may spot it drifting near the surface or in midwater, where it moves slowly with the current and occasional gentle pulses. Like other Pelagia, it’s best viewed from a distance due to the potential for stinging.
