Paramage scallop [Paramage venusta]

Description
Paramage venusta, or the Paramage scallop, is a marine bivalve mollusk that inhabits the deeper waters of the Indo-Pacific region. They are characterized by their rounded, fan-shaped shells that have a textured surface with multiple ridges and grooves. They use their strong adductor muscles to open and close their shells for locomotion and feeding. Their diet mainly consists of phytoplankton and small organic particles.
