Papillose Tonguefish [Syacium papillosum]
Description
A flat-bodied, ground-dwelling fish that inhabits sandy and muddy bottoms in coastal tropical waters. Its body is uniformly brown with small papillae covering the upper surface. It has a maximum length of 25cm and is found mainly in the western Atlantic Ocean.
