Palythoa flavoviridis [Palythoa flavoviridis]

Description

This species is often noticed for its vivid coloration, ranging from yellow-green to olive tones, depending on conditions. Divers may see it as a spreading, textured layer on reef rock, with countless small polyps forming a “grainy” surface. When the colony is actively feeding, the polyps can become more noticeable against the background.
