Description
This encrusting species forms colonies that cling to rocks and other stable surfaces, creating a subtle but lively texture on the seafloor. When conditions are right, polyps can become more noticeable, giving the colony a “speckled” look. Divers may overlook it at first—until they slow down and examine the fine details.
