Palythoa buitendijkl [Palythoa buitendijkl]
Description
This palythoa forms colonies that cling tightly to hard bottoms, creating a rough, carpet-like appearance. Under good light, divers may see the polyps as small, regularly spaced openings, and the colony can appear to shimmer or change slightly as currents bring food particles within reach.
