Palythoa brochi [Palythoa brochi]
Description
Divers often notice this species as a patch of low, encrusting polyps that forms a textured, sometimes mottled surface on rocks or hard substrates. Up close, the individual polyps can look like tiny openings that subtly pulse as they feed, giving the colony a lively, “alive” look even when the surrounding water is calm.
