Pacific Roundhead [Etmopterus pusillus]
Description
The Pacific Roundhead is a small, deep-sea shark species native to the Pacific Ocean. They inhabit depths from 200 to 1000 meters, where they prey on small fish and crustaceans. The Pacific Roundhead is characterized by its long, slender body, large eyes, and two dorsal fins, each equipped with a large spine. The species is bioluminescent, using light to blend in with the surrounding water and avoid predators.
