Pacific Piddock [Hanleya nagelfar]
Description
The Pacific Piddock, also known as Nagelfar Piddock, is a species of marine bivalve mollusk found in the Northern Pacific Ocean. Similar to its Atlantic counterpart, it bore into hard substrates for protection and filter feeds using a siphon. It can be distinguished by its shell, which is thinner and more elongated than that of the Northern Piddock.
