Pacific Golden Plover [Pluvialis fulva]
Description
The Pacific Golden Plover is a medium to large plover, which breeds in the Arctic and winters in south Asia and Australasia. A wader bird, it is migratory and some individuals make an annual round trip of over 25,000 miles. Its breeding habitat is Arctic tundra from northernmost Asia into western Alaska.
