Pacific cod [Gadus macrocephalus]
Description
The Pacific cod is found in colder waters, specifically the northwestern Pacific Ocean. It is a largely bottom-dwelling species, usually found at depths varying from 20 to 1,000 meters. It is a large species, reaching a maximum length of 1.8 meters. It has a brownish color with dark spots on the body and a light lateral line, clearly visible on the sides.
