Opisthoteuthis kerberos [Opisthoteuthis kerberos]
Description
Kerberos is another deep-water member of the Opisthoteuthis group, typically encountered only on deeper dives or in regions with access to offshore depths. Divers may see it glide past with a gentle, controlled motion, its fins helping it hold course in the dark. With careful observation, a passing squid can look surprisingly graceful despite its deep-sea lifestyle.
